Job Summary:
PBS Aerospace is looking for a finance manager with excellent organizational and analytical skills with deep commercial awareness, strong numeracy skills, and a keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of an organization.
Top candidates will have outstanding communication and report writing skills with superb technical ability, fantastic negotiation skills and ideally an skill overlap to other related areas of company economics and management.
Successful candidate profile:
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance/accounting or related
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Financial Planning and Analysis Certification (FPAC) a plus
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 5 years of work experience as a Finance Manager
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other financial planning software.
Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintains an accurate filing and record-keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting, lead the month-end closing process and conduct monthly financial forecast.
- Take on responsibility for other related business functions
Requirements and Work Environment:
- Due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor, this position is limited to U.S. citizens, as defined under applicable federal regulations.
- 10% of international travel to Europe is required in the first year.
