PBS AEROSPACE engineers and produces various types of  Auxiliary Power Units and Environmental Control Systems according to specific customer requirements. Auxiliary power units are used in airplanes and helicopters, where they serve as a source of electrical power before the main aircraft engines begin to run. They supply electrical power to on-board networks, especially for starting the main engines or for supplying onboard devices and air conditioning units. More complex units can also partially substitute energy supply in  case of an emergency, such as in the event of main engine failure, or supply on-board aggregates with power during preparation before the flight. Environmental Control Systems are designed to maintain a comfortable thermal environment in the cockpit, passenger cabin and  cargo holds of aircraft  and helicopters during ground operations and all flight modes. Safir 5K/G-MI

is designed to supply air to engine starters and environmental control systems, to drive the AC generator and to supply power to hydraulic systems. It also features a dual speed sensor, exhaust gas temperature sensor, oil and fuel signaling, filter contamination and signaling of low oil levels. Other features include analog indicators of APU parameters and of digital signals from the control box RS422 serial interface, along with operation parameters and failures.
